Fall Home Tour

 Fall Home Tour
Welcome back to my home, Choose Happy friends. I am excited to show you around my home to give you just a small view of the Fall decor for my home. This year, I didn't go as all out as I usually do. But I took the time to make it festive for the season.

I love fall. The crisp fall air, fresh apples, pumpkins, wearing boots & warm sweaters. I am not ready for winter to be here, Fall please stay awhile!

If you were standing at my door right now, I would offer you a fresh piece of my homemade apple crisp with ice cream & a glass of cold milk. Doesn't that sound delicious?

The Living Room
I have had this wreath for a very long time. I have used it in many ways over the years. This year, I decided to use it on the table. I found an Longaberger basket I wasn't using and filled it with gourds & mini pumpkins. Coffee table=Complete!

A few cloth stuffed pumpkins spruce up the corner of our living room!

Last year, I made Halloween garland with cloth from JoAnn fabrics. This adorns our large windows across the front of our home.

The Kitchen
This is an old vintage glass bowl  filled with small gourds from my mother in law's garden. I only have a few simple decorations in my kitchen.

The Dining Room
Last year, I made Halloween garland with cloth from JoAnn fabrics. Very easy and super cute! I also made this Trick or Treat banner with a Word Document and some card stock. Again, very easy & festive!

Outdoor Decor
This is the view of the front of our home. I love decorating for fall with gourds, mums and pumpkins of all sizes.

This beautiful mum sits in front of our garage. We brought this home from my husband's grandmother's funeral. It is such a beautiful plant.

The Master Bathroom
Every season, I update my frame in my master bathroom with free prints from Emily at Jones Design Company. She does such beautiful work!

The Master Bedroom
Time to bring out the warm fall quilt! We received this quilt from my grandma as a wedding present. I pull it out of from our basement storage every October to keep us warm & cozy for the fall and winter.

Later this fall, I will add a few more Thanksgiving decor pieces after Halloween is finished. We will also add our annual Thankful Tree. {last year's photo below}

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my Fall Home Tour!
Next year, I look forward to creating a few new pieces of decor & sprucing things up even more.

Happy Fall!

  1. I really enjoyed your fall tour! The garland you made is so colorful, it is a lot of fun to pick out fabrics and Jo Ann's has a HUGE selection... heck, they take numbers at the store by us! The front of your house is so pretty with the mums and pumpkins, I am planning to work on my front porch tomorrow... there are mums out there, but I need to decorate still. Fall baking is perfect, because not only do I love to decorate for the fall, but I love fall scents!! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and I have a wreath similar to that and it is in storage right now... I never though of laying it on a table as a centerpiece, I may do that! Thanks for the idea!

  2. Love it! My mums died when I was gone in Salt Lake City and I was very disappointed. Love the wreath idea on the table, I might also have to use that idea.
