Currently {vol.35}

  I am joining up with Hannah at Joyful Life for this Currently series.  This series is just a regular, every day post about what is going on in my regular every day life that day. I am enjoying linking up each week with her Currently series!

Hello Friends! Happy Monday!

Practicing: Baking my favorite Thanksgiving side dish. I decided to make a mini green bean casserole to go with our beef roast for dinner on Sunday evening. It was delicious, but I thought I better be "extra" sure my casserole recipe would be perfect for Thanksgiving! haha

My Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:
4 cans french style green beans
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp black pepper
1 3/4 cups french fried onions (I have used French's & Trader Joe's - both are amazing)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Drain cans of green beans & pour into large bowl. Add cream of mushroom soup, milk & black pepper, mix well. Stir in 3/4 cup french fried onions & mix well. Pour into baking dish of choice.
BAKE for 30 minutes.
Top with remaining french fried onions & bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.

ENJOY my FAVORITE holiday side dish!

Enjoying: Girl's Night at my Grandma's house this past Saturday! A few of us got together to learn how to make my grandma's famous pie crust! We are determined to have generations of pie bakers! {More pics to come later this week}

Deciding: Which bottle of wine from my Oregon Girls Weekend would be best for the Thanksgiving feast...
Utopia, Owen Roe or Penner Ash... Decisions, decisions!

Exercising: A little bit extra...as I know I will consume way too many calories on Thursday!   Tonight, I was planning on taking my first boxing class, but the weather decided otherwise. So, I will just do my old stand by work out video!

Wondering: If spring was here, as Sunday sure felt like it with rain, fog, birds chirping and 50 degree temps!

This morning, I was sadly reminded that winter was back with snow & ice on the roads!

Loving: This adorable photo of my son painting his little sister's toenails. She asked him if he would and he said YES. It was so cute listening to them talk back & forth while he was painting. These are the moments that remind me how much love they have for each other when they are fighting like crazy other times.

 Favorite Quote for the Week: Happiness is a choice!

  2. Oh my goodness, the photo of your son painting your daughters nails is adorable! You need to keep that one for his future wife someday! Ha! And, I wish I had a stock of wine from some fancy wineries to enjoy this Thanksgiving ;)
