Decorating... My friends's husband that built my son's barn board headboard is a talented carpenter. I found a picture of a cool arrow and asked him to make me a modified version. He made me three of them and I love how it turned out!

Watching... My son had his first wrestling tournament on Sunday. My heart was beating like crazy, my stomach was turning and I couldn't believe the emotions going through my body as my son took the mat. I still don't know very much about wrestling, but I do know it is  hard to watch your child wrestle for the first time and sometimes struggle. He did great, he didn't quit and he had fun; and that is all that matters!

Trying... To stay warm on our day out on the ice. We attended our local ice fishing contest on Saturday.  The kids & I didn't do a whole lot of fishing, but we enjoyed playing in the snow with friends, sliding and eating delicious cheeseburgers from our local Lions Club, while daddy fished! It was a bit chilly at times, but when the sun was out...it felt great!

Painting... My front door! (well the inside of it that is) It needed a little makeover and I am excited to see it all finished! I used some leftover Restoration Hardware paint from my kitchen and dining room!

Craving... My hometown church Fish Fry. Mmmm Craving good fish, potato salad and homemade tartar sauce!  Friday night, we are going out for fish  with my parents and I can't wait!

Happy Monday, I hope you will join me!

  1. That fish fry sounds amazing! I'm so glad your son had fun at his first match. I'm with you on it being hard to watch your child do any sport (and we don't even have kids yet haha).

  5. Isn't it nerve wracking watching your kids compete or do something onstage? My little one does cheer and even though it's not judged, my stomach is in knots for the under two minutes she is up there.
