Time for a Change

It was time for a big change, I was super nervous but decided to take the leap. There are a lot of personal & professional leaps I would like to make this year, and this was just the 1st! April 1st, my husband & I started a Get Fit challenge with each other to help each other get fit again & eat healthier, but I also  needed a style change. I haven't had my hair short since just after my daughter was born 4 years ago. My hair was feeling very BLAH!

Before
I have very thick course hair, I have to have it thinned at every hair appointment just to keep it manageable & not looking like a bush.

During
She cut 10 inches off the back of my hair to donate to Locks of Love, the front & layering is the pile on the floor!
After
A cute bob with some added curls.
We talked about doing a body wave perm, but decided we would try using a curling iron for now instead.

I feel like I lost a couple pounds just from my haircut!

It's amazing how a simple haircut can give you such a boost of confidence! I am excited to spend less time styling my hair. Short hair feels so much better right now!

Have you cut your hair recently? Did you feel invigorated with your 'new do'?

  1. Your new haircut looks great!!!

I'm in the process of growing my hair out again... but I'm sure I'll get sick of it at some point and chop it off again.

  5. I loved scrolling down this post and anticipating what the new you would look like - it is BRILLiANT! I do think cutting the hair shorter takes off years. I used to have long hair too and then cut it into a pixi. Now trying to grow it out into a bob...ugh it's so difficult though!!
