Waiting... Saturday morning was like Black Friday waiting in line for dance recital tickets! I waited in line for an hour and 15 minutes for our tickets! This was my first year  experiencing the "line"!  Now, we have all the tickets we need for her grandparents & our family to attend her recital performances in June!

Staining... My son's dresser! His room was almost finished this spring except for his dresser. Now that the temperatures have warmed up, it was time to get it completed! Friday evening, we stripped the dresser & Sunday we put on the first coat of stain! I am excited to get the dresser back into his room & finished!

Laughing... at my hilarious daughter! Friday evening, while I was working outside, she decided to use some of the soil in pots in the garage. I asked her what she was doing and she replied, "building a worm house!" Of course, what else would that be! ha I love her imagination and not being afraid to get her hands dirty!

Celebrating...Mother's Day in Minneapolis with my two adorable children & husband! I had the most amazing Mother's Day and I am so blessed to call these two gorgeous children mine.  This week, I will be sharing more pictures from our Mother's Day!

Wandering... through the aisles of IKEA on Sunday. I had not been to IKEA in a few years and loved seeing all of the adorable housewares! I splurged a little and am excited to start my next project!

Quote of the day... I love this quote & love it even more on my favorite picture of Lake Superior!  Celebrate the life you have!
Happy Monday, I hope you will join me!

  1. I love Ikea, thankful we don't have one where we live, so that helps with the not splurging or spending money every weekend. But I did get the raskog utility cart awhile back and I love it!

And your children are adorable! Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

    1. It is a good thing that IKEA is an hour away from me, or I would want to go there all the time!

  2. We are getting an IKEA here in St. Louis pretty soon! I have never been in an IKEA, so I am excited. I want to repaint ALL of the furniture in my daughters room... it is 3 pieces, because her bed has a hutch. It is one of my big goals for this summer. It is all a light yellow and I want to paint it white. I can't wait to see your sons dresser after you stain it!

  6. Ah IKEA. We were just there last weekend and I loved it. It had been years since we'd been there and I wanted to buy everything in the store haha. It gave me a bit of the decorating bug now.

  7. I love IKEA and I really need to make plans to stop in my closest one when I'm at my mom's house. Its about 2.5hrs away and I haven't been in in awhile so its long overdue. There is also a pottery barn outlet down that way I need to go in too ;)
