Apple Crisp Recipe
Every year, I love going to our local apple orchard to pick apples for my first apple crisp of the season. It is one of my favorite desserts. Today's Apple Crisp recipe is based off trial & error over the years with just the right mix of ingredients. Apple Crisp is a fast & easy way to make a delicious dessert without all the fuss of rolling out pie crusts.
Get out your apron & let's get baking!
The ingredients are very simple really, I always have the ingredients on hand for this delicious & easy apple crisp.
Ingredients needed:
5 medium Apples
1/2 c. Butter (softened)
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
3/4 c. Flour
1 c. Old Fashioned Oats
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. Cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
First, peel & core your apples.
Next, thinly slice apples & place into your baking dish of choice.
Measure dry ingredients & place into medium size bowl.
Combine softened butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Pour mixture over top of sliced apples. Gently spread evenly over top of sliced apples.
Place into preheated oven. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown!
Ta Da! One delicious & easy dessert coming up!
Enjoy this delicious dessert with a scoop of fresh ice cream for a perfect fall treat!
(Allow apple crisp to cool for 10 minutes before serving)
