Picking... green beans from our garden for the first time this year! I picked a very large bowl full! I am looking forward to making dinner this week with fresh steamed green beans. Yum!!! I always look forward to the first harvest of the year from my own garden. I love being able to feed our family from our garden that I have taken care of myself.
Organizing...our junk drawer. It was looking like a garbage dump for the last few months & I had enough! This weekend, I dumped out the drawer & started over! I always feel so much better when it is organized & we can find what we are looking for! My favorite items in my junk drawer are the post it notes, ha! I am the queen of post it's!
Admiring... the gorgeous flowers in my mother in law's gardens. She has a green thumb & grows some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! I only wish that I could grow flowers as well as she can!
Ordering...My son's first pair of football cleats. He starts youth football practice in less than 2 weeks, so I decided I better get him some cleats! Dicks Sporting Goods had great sales on their cleats & free shipping! I can't believe my little man is starting football already!
Licking...this delicious Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream cone that I scooped up on Sunday evening with our neighbors at our back yard grill out. I wanted to have ice cream all day Sunday to celebrate National Ice Cream day, but never had the chance. After dinner, I grabbed the ice cream & sugar cones and headed outside to make ice cream cones, everyone LOVED them! Did you celebrate? I would love to celebrate this holiday EVERY DAY!
Favorite Quote of the Week...I love this quote from Lara Casey's collection. Lara inspires me every week with her wisdom on Instagram! I am starting to work on something I have been dreaming about for a long time & finally getting started! Soooo excited & can't wait to share it with you soon!
Happy Monday, I hope you will join me!

I'm so jealous of your harvest! Every time I try to grow veggies the neighborhood stray cats get to them!
ReplyDeleteThey were sooo delicious! We even shared with the neighbors :)
DeleteHow are you going to prepare your green beans? They look so scrumptious!!! Do you steam them with spices and bacon or ham? I so want to have a little raised garden next summer. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed for me. Didn't realize that yesterday was Ice Cream Day but I indulged in a DQ Blizzard on Saturday. Saturday is my ice cream day. Nothing better! Love the quote you shared. I am the Queen of Procrastination or not really procrastination but having so many things I want to do and never getting to them. Thank you for this quote which might be the swift kick in the pants I need to get started. XO http://onceuponatimehappilyeverafter.com
ReplyDeleteLeslie- I love them steamed! I steamed them plain, but I could try using bacon..That sounds delicious!
DeleteWhen I was growing up and we had a garden one of my favorite veggies to grow and pick was green beans! I just thought they were so fun to watch grow and get longer and longer, and then pluck off the vine. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, organizing the junk drawer is always the best, too bad mine never lasts too long. ;)
Thanks for stopping by Justine! We love green beans at our house too!
DeleteWow! That came all from your garden? And your drawer looks great, I may have to organize some of our drawers, SOphie gets into them and always messes them back up. I love that quote, what a inspirational quote to begin the week.

DeleteI've got to jump aboard this train more often. I love reading your currently post. If only I took pictures this week. Didn't do much of that this past week. Yesterday, I was craving ice cream and didn't want the Breyers Vanilla in my freezer. I sent my son to get me some and then called him and told him never mind after calling in an order for his dinner. He was craving Mexican and I told him to just go get his food instead. Later, I kept reading how it was national ice cream day and wow...I didn't get my ice cream. LOL, oh well. The craving is over. Have a great week! ~Lowanda
ReplyDeleteYES!! Please do!!!! Thank you so much for stopping by :)

ReplyDeleteWe had to get my son some cleats this year too. He is already playing summer league flag football. They try to start early in the morning but it is already so hot out there. My guys is such a little guy that he will never be able to play real football so flag will have to do for awhile anyway. He loves it so far.
