Enjoying// our winter wonderland. Just in these past few weeks, we have went from fall type weather to full fledged winter! The kids are loving all the snow to play in!

Celebrating// New Year's Eve - Family style! This year we had a family party at our house. The kids played downstairs and the adults hung out in the kitchen upstairs for cards, plenty of food, a few drinks & lots of laughter! We had a lot of fun and the kids did too!
Mmmm... My husband makes the best Brandy Old Fashion drinks. It was the drink of choice for this event!
Practicing// with their new snowshoes! Santa brought them both a pair of snowshoes and they couldn't wait to use them! My daughter lasted approximately 5 minutes after this photo was taken. She was throwing a fit that her legs were tired and wanted to go home. Thankfully this is across from our house, so they didn't have far to walk. My son and I went for a long hike through the golf course. He did such a great job for his first time trying his snowshoes; I was so proud of him!
He is a natural!
Thinking// about my New Year's goals & resolutions. I have a lot of ideas, it's time to put pen to paper! More about those this week!

Oh that looks like so much fun. I bought my boys new snow boots, snow bibs and snowboards this year so I have ensured that NC will not get any snow. LOL they are so hoping though so maybe we can get out yearly day or so of ice/snow. :)
ReplyDeleteOk, so where do you get snow shoes at? This sounds like a great idea for the kids NEXT Christmas!!!! We have gotten ZERO snow here in St. Louis! Can you believe it? I am ok with it, except I could have gone without the flooding last week. I am curious to hear about your new year! Are you planning to work again or to take some time off? In any case, enjoy the changes and I know this year will be a good one for you!

That looks gorgeous! We have a cabin in Manitowish Waters and I always love visiting in the winter for the beautiful weather. I'm sure you'll get tired of it, and I don't know if I could ever live in it, but it's so pretty! Perfect weather for a few Old Fashioneds!
ReplyDeleteSNOW ANGELS! That is one thing I have yet to do in my life! We don't get snow where I live...might have to make a trip down to the South Island (of New Zealand) to do a snow angel! Happy New Year Becky!
