Currently
{Vol. 18}
I have been joining up with the always inspring A Mama Collective and just love her blog. She has started a series called: Currently. This series is just a regular, every day post about what is going on in her world that day. I am enjoying linking up each week with her Currently series!
Thinking about: My front deck refresh project! I'm almost done!
Before...
(This was a long process on Sunday, I might have said I was never going to paint furniture again during the process) haha
After coming soon...
Reading: My packing list for vacation... Raincoats-check, tent-check, sleeping bags-check, life jackets-check, towels-check...the list goes on. Wow, we sure have a lot of stuff for a long weekend of camping!
Watching: My kids enjoy the community pool tonight. It was one of our first HOT nights here. 86 degrees doesn't sound that hot, but for us...it felt hot!
Listening to: Commercials in the background on the TV, but very quietly. The main noise I hear is from the fan blades of our living room fan. Oh, how I love quiet time.
Excited about: Our mini vacation up north & the Boundary Waters Canoe area. The kids can't wait to camp in our new tent, explore the Boundary Waters & go fishing! I am excited for a weekend of unplugging!
Thankful for: Once again, a great weekend! We had beautiful weather to enjoy the outdoors.
Friday evening, we enjoyed visiting with friends on Lake Pepin in Pepin, Wisconsin.
Saturday, we spent the afternoon at my hometown pool with cousins.
Saturday evening, we watched Daddy milk cows for his friend that was out of town. The kids were in complete awe and loved seeing all the animals, new baby calves & farm life. It gave me a little reminder about how our kids really enjoy the simple things in life & a little throwback to our college days when my husband was a hired man for a local farmer.

The salsa you made...is it like restaurant/store bought style or more like a pico? I've been looking for a great salsa recipe (my tomatoes are almost ready!!).
ReplyDeleteAlso, these photos make me want to visit Wisconsin, holy cow! (See what I did there, haha!) In all seriousness though, these photos really capture the beauty of these places...great job!
The salsa is like a blended style, not chunky. It tastes so good!
DeleteWisconsin is very beautiful, sometimes I forget how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
Oh that just took me back to memories of the summer my dad worked on a farm (he's a teacher, so there were a lot of random summer jobs over the years). He would get up early, and periodically he would take one of us with him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping Adelina!
DeleteBeing on the farm again reminded me of the simple things. The kids were so excited just to see dad with the cows, pet the baby calves and run around!
Those pictures are just gorgeous....such a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteThank you Janel!! Thanks for stopping by!
