Back to school/Meet the teacher night last week. He was excited to have his very first locker!
First day of first grade today!!
He enjoyed our own homemade dehydrated apples & a homemade banana zucchini chocolate chip muffin for breakfast before his big school day!
Last night we talked about what he was excited about, what his fears were and what was for lunch today.
He was excited about recess, art, and phy ed. He was worried about being able to read well enough and getting papers wrong because he couldn't read the directions. I assured him that his teacher would help & we would practice every night at home. For lunch, he had pizza, pears & baby carrots!
He had a GREAT first day of 1st grade! His favorite parts of the day were recess, carpet time, drawing a picture of his home for a book project and exploring the school. He even told me that he could read more than he could yesterday! That is awesome!
