Our day started with brunch at The Copper Hen Kitchen in Minneapolis. I had heard many great things about the Copper Hen & had it on my breakfast bucket list! I loved the decor & feel of the cozy restaurant and definitely want to go back for lunch someday!
My daughter & I had semi-matching outfits for the occasion & of course I needed a photo!
My breakfast was SUPERB! Farmer's Brunch - cheesy scrambled eggs, root vegetable has, bread pudding french toast & fennel sausage. The french toast was absolutely incredible!
My husband's breakfast was just as delicious. He ordered the Skillet Scramble! Yummmm!
One of my favorite photos from the whole day was taken by my husband after we were finished eating. My daughter decided to come crawl up on my lap to cuddle as we were waiting for our bill. These are the moments that I will remember forever!
Love these two! I am so blessed that God chose me to be their Mommy! I can't imagine life without them!
Our next stop for our Mother's Day adventure was at Minnehaha Falls. They were as beautiful as always. We walked along the paths with the kids to check out the falls.
My husband was trying to take a photo of the kids & I in front of the falls and a very kind woman told him to jump in the picture! I am so glad she did! I love how this photo turned out of the 4 of us--definitely a framer!
The rest of our Mother's Day included a stop at IKEA, Gertens Garden Center for flowers for grandma & a new bird feeder and a 2 hour family nap upon returning home. I had such a wonderful Mother's Day and am feeling so blessed!
I hope all of you mother's had an amazing Mother's Day!
I love your match your matchy matchy outfits. So cute!

ReplyDeleteHow sweet your little's are :) This was my first year celebrating Mother's Day as a mom, and even though my girl isn't talking her daddy made me feel very special.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day! I will be in Minneapolis at the end of the month through the first week of June. Will definitely have to check out the Copper Hen, I've never been (I am partial to the Mad Hatter Tea House in Anoka LOL but love to try new places)!
