Day 5 of our Spring Break Adventure brought us to Magic Kingdom! We woke up, got ready & hopped on our shuttle that took us directly to the gates of Magic Kingdom. The kids were so excited for their first trip at Magic Kingdom! As you can see in some of our first photos, my daughter was a bit overtired from the days of adventures...but she cheered up! The joys of traveling with young children!
We arrived in our festive Mickey Mouse gear!!
Our first objective was to take our photos in front of the castle before stopping for breakfast at the Main Street Bakery. The first character we saw coming into the park was Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins is my childhood favorite movie and I was more excited to see her and give her a hug than my children!
The Festival of Fantasy parade was incredible! We had a front row spot to see all of the beautiful floats & characters dancing to the music! Our favorites were all the princesses singing and dancing, Peter Pan & of course Mickey & Minnie Mouse!
Our first ride of the day was the Carousel located behind Cinderella's castle.
We were very lucky to use our Fast Passes on the rides with long lines and hopped onto other rides that didn't have long lines. {Little Miss & Daddy in line, It's a Small World ride, Riding in the Tea Cups & my cool Mouseketeer!}
Taking time for breaks was MUCH needed. The kids enjoyed Mickey Mouse ice cream treats!
We did not rent a stroller the first day, as my husband was determined that the kids walk the park if went & stroller were a pain. So, when little miss was overtired & her legs didn't work...Daddy was nice enough to carry her on his shoulders!
The kids enjoyed our lunch at Be Our Guest. We had a delicious lunch in Beauty & the Beast's beautiful castle!
1. The boys rode on the Race Cars & had a blast! 2. I love kisses from my little man!
3. Daddy was a good sport and put on the mouse ears! 4. I wanted my picture in front of the castle too!
Later that afternoon, we went back to the All Star Movies Resort to take a little nap, swim and have dinner. It was a nice break from the heat before heading back to the park.
We were excited to get back to the park for more rides & the FIREWORKS! We hopped on the shuttle & were back at the park in no time! The kids were pumped to buy light sabers to wave around in the park, only one was busted by the end of the night! ha
I have seen a lot of fireworks in the last 33 years, but I have to say that this was the most incredible fireworks show I have ever seen! Seeing the castle at night all lit up is also very beautiful! The kids were on cloud 9 and were still awake at 11pm when we got back to the resort. What an incredible first day at Magic Kingdom!

So fun!
ReplyDeleteWe had dinner at Be Our Guest and loved it! They had some really yummy desserts there from what I remember. My husband has a Mickey shirt, too and he ONLY wears it when we go to Disney. haha. I like the idea of going back to rest before the fireworks, we didn't and my kids were so tired for them... I think Autumn even fell asleep DURING them. lol. Great family photos!
ReplyDeleteLove it! We are big Disney fans here. I look forward to the day when we won't need a stroller though, but I'd imagine that won't be for a while. Honestly it is nice to have to so I can put our stuff underneath =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had so much fun. I can't wait to read the rest of your trip!!!
